Today, as I went back to work for the first time in over a week, I realized that I hate to work. I don’t mean that I hate my work. My work is good, or as good as work can be, but I hate actually having to work instead of ohhhhhhhh say, sleeping. So, instead of focusing on the negative, like the fact that I have to go back tomorrow, I’m going to try to cheer myself up by pretending to focus on the positive. Let’s cheer me up by singing about my favoritest things, shall we? Okay, all together now. . . .
Melted Herhsey Kisses in steaming hot chocolate
Not that supid shit that they call Mocolate
Glorious white unicorns with big, beautiful wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Red velvet cupcakes (are we beginning to see a trend?)
But not if I have to bake
Flowers and hearts, and big diamond rings
These are a few of my favorite things
The comedic stylings of Will Ferrell
Do you want to go dancing with me and my friend Zerrell?
Fluffy kitties in Spring
These are a few of my favorite thingsssssssssssssssssssssssssssszzzz!
Not exactly the next big hit, but what do you expect from me halfway through a bottle of Sutter Home’s finest white zin that I’m splitting with the cat.
Think you can come up with something better?? What are some of your favorite things??

Can I find this song on I-Tunes? SO GOOD!
My favorite things used to include Marlboro Reds 100s (yeah disgusting), but since I’ve given them up for the New Year, I guess I have to go with you on the hot chocolate, and add to the list a good Maker’s Mark Manhattan, up, please.

Abe, I’m coming out with “Subway Gal’s Great Hits” at the end of ‘09, after I have had a chance to create a few more of my own songs by stealing other people’s original versions.
Ponderings, I was actually thinking of you when I wrote about unicorns! I remember a post you wrote on your old blog that included unicorns and it was around the same time I had just seen the second Harold & Kumar movie that featured a unicorn, and for some unexplained reason all that stuck out in my mind when writing this. Hmmmm when I put it that way, it does sound kinda crazy. Perhaps I was high when I wrote that . . . .

Love the song
Chocolate is definitely one of my top fav things. I’m feeling the same way this week. I love my job…but I hate to work. I want to be curled up on my couch at home, with a book, in my pj’s, right about now.

I’m with ya, Brandie! I’m just about ready to go home now too. I think I’d be too bored to totally stop working (unless of course I somehow win the lottery and can spend spend spend all day), so I propose that work days be cut in half to something like 12-4. Now if only I could get the rest of the world on board with that plan . . .

The cat in this picture made me laugh really hard
